How To Make The Best Hamburgers In Cambridge

Cambridge: Here is one of the best Hamburgers recipes out there!

Here Is What Most People Don’t Know About Making Hamburgers:

  • Don’t Overwork the Meat: Gently mix the ground beef with seasonings to avoid compacting the meat, which can make the patties tough.
  • Make an Indentation in the Center: Pressing a small dimple in the center of each patty helps it cook evenly and prevents it from puffing up in the middle.
  • Season Just Before Cooking: Salt draws out moisture, so season the patties with salt and pepper just before they hit the grill or pan to keep them juicy.
  • Bald Buck Seasoning: For this dish, we replace our salt with Bald Buck Seasoning

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • Bald Buck Seasoning and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your choice)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices
  • Pickles
  • Ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions:

  • Place the ground beef in a bowl and gently mix in the Worcestershire sauce, if using. Divide the beef into four equal portions and shape them into patties about 1/2 inch thick, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb.
  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly butter the insides of the hamburger buns and set them aside.
  • Season the patties generously with Bald Buck Seasoning and pepper just before cooking. Place the patties on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  • If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover the grill or skillet with a lid to melt the cheese.
  • Toast the buttered buns on the grill or skillet for about 1 minute, until golden brown.
  • Assemble the hamburgers by placing the patties on the bottom buns. Add lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, and pickles. Top with condiments of your choice, then add the top buns.
  • Serve the hamburgers hot with your favorite sides.

Enjoy your delicious, juicy homemade Hamburgers!
